I ’m an artist who is passionate about creating. As a small child I was always drawing. I never considered a career that didn’t include art. I love exploring and discovering both technique and my inner world. There is always something new to intrigue and challenge me, something new to learn about colour, composition or line.
My painting is intuitive but informed by my years of formal art training and design experience. Each piece evolves by my responding to the layer completed until it feels “right”. Layers start off spontaneous but the final art ends up full of detail and thoughtfully finished.
I paint in acrylics. Although I painted for many years in oil and experimented with watercolour, I love the versatility of acrylics most. I also enjoy adding paper, markers, pencil crayons, stencils etc. to my projects.
I hope that people will respond to my art with both their hearts and heads and continue to discover more in each piece over time.
